Hello, world! Once again, I’m caught up, distracted by, overwhelmed with life. Lots of things, new and old, flooding my time, leaving this lovely space on the back burner. I’m heading home to Texas for a few days this weekend, hoping to spend some time planning new content for the months ahead. In the mean time, here are some things that have been inspiring me as of late:
My favorite part of a new year is finding a great new planner for all my dates to remember, events, trips, and to-do lists. It’s a couple weeks into 2015, but if you’re like me, you’ve been waiting around to find the one that fits you best. Here’s a compilation of my favorites:
1. Horatio Printing 2. Rifle Paper Co. 3. Kate Spade Daily Planner 4. Paper Source – Confetti Planner 5. Poketo – Color Block Planner 6. Sugar Paper for Target 7. Poketo – Basic Weekly Planner 8. Poketo – Basic Agenda Planner
Personally, this year I went with the small gold one (#6) from Sugar Paper for Target & the weekly desk calender from Rifle Paper Co. I love getting to cross things off of a to-do list, so a weekly desk list is a perfect addition for me! Last year, I had #4, and loved the size & thickness of the paper. If you’re looking for more local ways to shop, Shindig Paperie is a great option in Fayetteville, AR!
Hopefully this little compilation makes your agenda book shopping a little easier. Now, let’s plan 2015!
A little late in the game for a recap of my favorite moments in 2014, but hey, it’s still January, right? I’d say its still safe zone to reminisce on the past year. 2014 was one for the books, full of life and beauty and hardships and waiting. I had many ‘firsts’ happen in 2014 as well, which is always an accomplishment in my book. I love venturing out into new things, hobbies, & projects. Well, here it is! My favorite moments of 2014:
What I’m Listening To: Lord Huron, Bethel Music, Givers
What I’m Reading: Creative Confidence by Tom & David Kelley.
What I’m Working On: Compiling a list of goals for 2015. I’m always behind on the whole goal setting thing. It usually takes me the full month of January to actually narrow down what I think are obtainable goals. I have about a week until school starts up again, so I’m trying to be productive with this whole break thing and work on updating my resume & portfolio.
What I’m excited for: My last semester of college. Wow! I’m excited to make the most of every moment, make a last-semester bucket list, walk into new projects, challenges, relationships….it’s going to be a semester of growth, I know.
It’s 2015, and I couldn’t be more excited for a new year. So much NEW is ahead, which is both scary and exhilarating. I’m gearing up to embrace the messy and pursue the beautiful. Lets do this.
