California Bucket List: Inspiration Point

Coffee at Inspiration Point

Another bullet on my California Bucket List was to have morning coffee at Inspiration Point. Well, it played out slightly different than what I had written. Instead of morning  coffee, me & Han had an afternoon picnic at Inspiration Point! I had been hearing about how I should go from multiple people, and just as people had said, it was beautiful! It’s right on the coast, behind a neighborhood in Corona Del Mar. It was such a nice change of scenery from the beach I live on. Don’t get me wrong, I love our beach at newport, but the elevation and view was so beautiful here at Inspiration Point!

We stopped at Trader Joe’s (Man am I going to miss that when I go back to school in Arkansas!) for some sushi, climbed a fence we were definitely not supposed to climb over, and set up a picnic right on the edge of the cliff!

So beautiful seeing the rock formations on the shore and in the water! There were way more than what we had photographed, but it required a little more of a hike down to the water, so we decided to just stay where we were.

Inspiration Point was beautiful. If you have a free 30 minutes – an hour near the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. I don’t think it’s quite ‘incredible’ enough to go out of your way for, though! There are a few spots I’ve been to on my California Bucket List that are worth going out of your way for. I’ll be posting about them soon…
